Twigby is a prepaid cell phone carrier with affordable and customizable plans. Twigby’s smartphone value plans start as low as $20 per month for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and 3GB of LTE data. You can also choose to create a custom plan with Twigby, which start as low as $15 per month for 300 minutes and 1GB of LTE data.
Twigby’s smartphone value plans are competitively priced, and their current options are as follows:
What also makes Twiby unique is their custom, affordable plans, and that they allow for domestic roaming on the Verizon network for voice calls. Twigby normally uses the Sprint network for coverage. However, with their roaming agreement with Verizon, Twigby customers can place voice calls on the Verizon network in areas where there is no Sprint reception. Sprint is also merging with the T-Mobile network, so soon Twigby customers (and everyone else using a service on the Sprint network) should see improved coverage and performance.
Twigby sells a limited selection of budget-oriented Android smartphones as well as older iPhone models. For the best experience with Twigby, we recommend you bring your own unlocked phone to their network. An unlocked phone means it is paid off in full and not tied to any carrier or contract. Having an unlocked phone gives you the freedom to switch plans or carriers at any time.
You can find great deals on unlocked smartphones on a site like Swappa, with whom we have an affiliate partnership. We feel Swappa can help you save money on your new smartphone, offering discounts between 20% and 50% off.
Twigby offers 25% off their plans for your first 6 months of service. This discount is available for all plans, and considering it’s been available for the past couple of years it doesn’t seem like it’s limited time.
Twigby currently uses the Sprint network for coverage. However, since Sprint is merging with T-Mobile, Twigby customers will soon be able to access T-Mobile’s network for coverage too. Finally, Twigby has a domestic roaming agreement with Verizon that allows Twigby customers to place phone calls over the Verizon network in areas where there is no Sprint coverage.
For the best experience on Twigby, you’ll want to make sure your phone supports the following LTE bands:
5G coverage on T-Mobile’s 5G network will likely come soon after the Sprint and T-Mobile networks are merged together on the back end. Until then, expect 4G LTE service with Twigby on Sprint’s network.
All Twigby plans include free unlimited global texting. Send and receive messages from the United States to over 180 countries. Stateside international calling is also included for free with all plans. Make calls to the following countries at no extra charge:
Australia, Bermuda, Canada, China, Columbia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Marianna Islands, Mexico, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom.
Twigby provides the following limitations for making stateside international calls:
International coverage is not supported by Twigby at this time. You will not have service if you travel outside the United States.
Twigby adds standard taxes and regulatory fees to the cost of their cell phone plans. Also, because of their 25% off discount for your first 6 months, you will notice your bill increase after 6 months of service.

Twigby has two options for service: Overage protection ON, and overage protection OFF.
With overage protection on, when you hit your minute or data limit your service will stop working for that feature.
With overage protection off, your service will always continue working. If you go over your talk or data allotment, you will simply be charged the difference between the plan you signed up for and the plan you fall into after your usage at the end of the month.
