We don't recommend Simple Mobile 20GB for 1 line. There are similar plans with the same or more data at a better price.
Description
For $30 a month, Simple Mobile 20GB gives you 20GB of high-speed data on Verizon's network. You can use all of your data as a hotspot. It includes free international texting. Plus, you get 300 minutes, unlimited texts, and 5GB of roaming in Canada and Mexico. For comparison, Verizon's own Unlimited Welcome plan costs $65 a month before taxes.
After 20GB, speeds slow to 128Kbps. Video streams at 480p, and your data is deprioritized. Taxes and fees are extra.
Want unlimited data on the same Verizon network for less? Visible Base is our top pick at $25 a month, taxes included.
Consider Simple Mobile 20GB if: you use a moderate amount of data and travel to Canada or Mexico.
