boom! Mobile offers plans that use either the T-Mobile network or the Verizon network to provide coverage. Plans only use one network to provide coverage and will not switch between the networks.
T-Mobile’s LTE bands are 2, 4, 12, 25, 26, 41, 66, and 71. T-Mobile’s 5G bands are n41, n71, n260, and n261.
Verizon’s LTE bands are 2, 4, 5, 13, 46, 48, and 66. Verizon’s 5G bands are n260 and n261.

Other non-bolded LTE and 5G bands are typically used to provide supplemental coverage.
The more LTE and 5G bands your phone has for a particular network, the better coverage and faster speeds you will get on that network.
RootMetrics currently ranks Verizon as having the #1 best coverage and data speeds across the United States with an overall performance score of 96.0.

boom! Mobile supports different features on the T-Mobile and Verizon networks.
boom! Purple (T-Mobile):
On the T-Mobile network, boom! Mobile supports visual voicemail, VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling, mobile hotspot, and 4K video streaming.
boom! Red (Verizon):
On the Verizon network, boom! Mobile supports visual voicemail, Wi-Fi calling, VoLTE, and mobile hotspot. We have not been able to confirm video streaming quality at this time.
boom! Mobile currently does not offer options for long-distance calling or international data roaming.
It is also unclear if boom! Mobile supports 5G access on either T-Mobile or Verizon at this time.
Most unlocked phones will work with boom! Mobile.
And unlocked phone means it isn’t tied to any carrier, contract, or financing agreement.
You just need to make sure your phone will work on either the Verizon or T-Mobile networks and it will work with boom! Mobile’s service.
Or you can select a compatible unlocked phone from the options below:
No, international calling or international data roaming are not available from boom! Mobile.
There are no add-ons from boom! Mobile at this time.
You can contact boom! Mobile support by using the contact form on their website, or by calling customer support at 800-767-5599.
boom! Mobile’s customer service hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST.
Given boom! Mobile’s poor website design, the lack of a mobile application to manage your account, and the fact that some of their best plans on the AT&T network were discontinued, the truth is it is hard to recommend boom! Mobile at this time.
US Mobile offers better plans at cheaper rates on the Verizon network, and Mint Mobile offers better plans on the T-Mobile network.
Plus, both Mint Mobile and US Mobile offer beautiful mobile applications for managing your account, and they offer options for international data roaming (a feature boom! Mobile was lacking).
The only good plans from boom! Mobile right now are their 3-month and 12-month plans on the T-Mobile network.
But even then, I’d still probably recommend Mint Mobile instead for the better overall experience when it comes to sign up, activation, managing your account, and getting support.
Most consumers will probably find better options from Mint Mobile, US Mobile, or other MVNOs.
