US Mobile was founded in 2014 by Ahmed Khattak, and they launched by offering affordable, custom plans on the T-Mobile network. US Mobile wasn’t allowed to use T-Mobile branding, so they called their network GSM LTE. Then, in October 2017, US Mobile launched its service on the Verizon network, which they called Super LTE.
US Mobile offers two types of plans: custom plans and unlimited plans. The custom plans allow you to choose exactly how many minutes, texts, and megabytes of data you want with your plan. The flexible options at affordable rates make US Mobile’s custom plans great for low-use individuals, seniors, or families with young children. Hotspot is included for free with all custom plans, and you get full speed LTE data.
US Mobile’s unlimited plans are also available, and they are better suited for people who consume more data. Plans start at $40, and you can choose to increase your plan to add hotspot and faster data speeds. Unfortunately, the unlimited plans are not truly unlimited. The GSM LTE plan only includes 15GB of data, while the Super LTE plan is more generous with 50GB of LTE data. Both plans also have a limit of 5,000 minutes, or 83 hours of talk time per month. Still, 50GB of data and 5,000 minutes is often plenty for most people.

US Mobile also recently announced they will be offering a new 5G plan starting in July, 2020. The new plan will include access to Verizon’s 5G network and will cost just $65 per month, which is $20 less than the cheapest 5G capable plan available from Verizon themselves.
US Mobile offers a great selection of plans with flexible pricing and robust coverage. From our experience they also offer excellent customer service, and we generally recommend them as an alternative to Verizon’s plans.
US Mobile’s unlimited plans offers amazing perks when you add multiple lines to your account. You can choose from a selection of perks and get services such as Apple Music, Spotify family, Netflix, Disney Plus, Apple TV+, or others included for free with your plan.
The upcoming $65 5G plan will offer multi-line discounts. The first line is $65, the second line is $55, and subsequent lines are $50.
US Mobile offers an extremely limited selection of phones on their website. They only offer the newest iPhones and a super cheap Android smartphone. The selection is definitely confusing.
For the best experience on US Mobile, we suggest you bring your own, unlocked smartphone to their network. An unlocked phone means it isn’t tied to any carrier or contract. Having an unlocked phone gives you the freedom to switch plans or carriers at any time you want.
You can find great deals on unlocked smartphones on a site like Swappa, with whom we have an affiliate partnership. We feel Swappa can help you save money on your new smartphone, offering discounts between 20% and 50% off.

US Mobile recently offered support for international data roaming in 140 countries with all of their plans! However, because of how international data roaming works on US Mobile, this feature is only available to smartphones with eSIM.
