They did it. Visible introduced Party Pay, allowing you to save up to $15 per month on Visible service, and bringing the cost of their unlimited plan down to just $25 per month. This is everything you need to know about Visible’s new group discount.

Visible Party Pay Pricing

Here’s a quick breakdown of Visible’s new Party Pay group discounts:

  • 2 people pay $35/month each (save $5)
  • 3 people pay $30/month each (save $10)
  • 4 people pay $25/month each (save $25)

How Visible Party Pay is Different From a Regular Family Plan

Typical family plans you have an account manager. This is the person who sets up the account, manages the account, and pays the bill. For most families this is mom or dad.

What’s different about Visible Party Pay is each person still has their own account. Instead of grouping people together under one account with one bill, Visible keeps everyone separate and applies the group discount to each line individually.

Hence why they chose the name “Party Pay.” Instead of needing an actual family, you can join a party with literally anyone, your neighbor, coworker, your dog, your best friend’s girlfriend's brother-in-law, and even fellow Visible subscribers you meet on the internet.

Visible’s Group Saving Discount

You can join a party at any time, and you can also leave a party at any time. Each person gets the same group savings, and the savings increase the more people you have.

Two people save $5 each, three people save $10 each, and four people save $15 each. This brings the cost of Visible’s $40 unlimited plan down to just $25 per month. And this includes all taxes and fees.

How Do You Sign Up for Visible Party Pay?

So how do you join a Visible Party and get these savings? Super simple. In the application you can tap on learn more, and then you’ll have the option to create your own party or enter the name of someone else’s party to join that.

Even better, there is a subreddit called Visible PartyPay, which I’ll have linked in the video description, where people are posting their parties and inviting you to join. This is a great way to fill up four party slots faster and start paying $25 on service.

Simply click on an invite link, log in to your Visible account, and a request will be sent to a member of the party to approve. Once they approve, you’ll be added to the party. You can see here I am currently in a party with these fine individuals.

The only information that gets shared is your first name, your area code and the last four digits of your phone number. That’s all. I feel this is safe and I’m comfortable joining up with random people on the internet.

The Biggest Catch to Visible Party Pay

Okay, so what’s the catch? The biggest catch here is that anyone can leave the party at any time. One month you can have a full party and get the $15 discount, and the next month someone could leave without telling you’ll pay more. In fact, I don’t think there is a way to contact your party members, so you may need to keep an eye on this. (Thankfully with Reddit, it should be pretty easy to fill any vacant slots).

How Can Visible Afford to Offer This Insane Discount?

And finally, how is Visible able to offer this discount? Well, I think it is part of their customer acquisition and retention strategy.

Visible is currently offering new customers their first month of service for just $25, which is a low barrier to entry, and when they join a party there is incentive to stick with the party to get the discount and keep continue just $25 per month. Visible is also owned by Verizon which I’m sure that helps with their pricing.

Visible’s party pay also allows their parent company Verizon to be more competitive. AT&T has been offering unlimited data for $25 per month on their network with four lines on Cricket’s Core plan. This has been very attractive for a lot of people, and now Verizon is offering unlimited data on their network for $25 per month through Visible.

Visible also offers full speed LTE data, whereas the Cricket Core plan is capped at 3Mbps, and Visible includes unlimited hotspot data as well. This could be a huge opportunity for Visible and Verizon to gain subscribers and get people to switch to their network.

Is Visible Any Good?

I tried Visible for myself, and I had a positive experience using their network. Watch my full review video, or read my Visible review to understand the pros and cons of the phone service.
