Spectrum Mobile By-the-Gig gives you 1GB of high-speed data on Verizon's network for $20 a month. It comes with priority data. It also includes free international calling to Canada and Mexico and free texting to over 200 countries. You can add a 1GB tablet line for $19.99 a month, and a smartwatch line is included.
After that, extra data costs $5/GB. The hotspot gives you 5GB at full speed, then slows to 256Kbps. Video streams at 480p. Taxes and fees are extra, and there's a $20 activation fee.
For a bit more, Visible+ gets you unlimited priority data and a hotspot with no data cap at up to 10Mbps on the same Verizon network for $35 a month, taxes included.
