H2O Wireless is a prepaid carrier that was first launched in 2005 by Locus Telecommunications. In January of 2019, Locus Telecommunications was acquired by Telrite Holdings, the parent company of other telecommunications companies including Pure TalkUSA, Life Wireless, Go Wireless, H2O Bolt, and Telrite long distance.
H2O Wireless uses the AT&T network for coverage and offers five different cell phone plans:
*H2O Wireless’s unlimited plans are not true unlimited plans. The $50 plan includes 24GB of high-speed data before being slowed to 2G speeds, and the $55 plan includes 30GB of high-speed data before being slowed to 2G speeds. H2O Wireless offers a decent selection of new iPhones and Android phones to choose from. However, for the best experience we recommend you bring your own unlocked smartphone to the H2O Wireless network. An unlocked phone means it isn’t tied to any carrier or contract.
You can find great deals on unlocked smartphones on a site like Swappa, with whom we have an affiliate partnership. We feel Swappa can help you save money on your new smartphone, offering discounts between 20% and 50% off.
