How Xfinity Mobile’s phone deals work
Credits arrive monthly, not up front
The credit isn’t money off the price today. Xfinity Mobile charges the phone in full and takes the credit off your bill a little each month, over 36 months.
The phone is financed over 36 months
You pay the phone off on your bill, month by month. Pay it off early and the remaining credits stop; you owe what’s left of the price.
The plan decides the credit
The credits come only on Xfinity Mobile Plus. Move to a plan outside that list mid-term and the credits stop.
Who qualifies
5 of 8 offers need a trade-in; the rest don’t. 3 of 8 are for new customers only. 2 of 8 are for existing customers only.
Many Xfinity Mobile offers require Xfinity Internet at home; the cards show it where an offer does. Like the big carriers, the credits are usually paid monthly over the phone’s payment agreement, and some need a new line or a trade-in.
Pay the phone off early or leave, and the credits you haven’t received usually stop. Because Xfinity Mobile runs on Verizon’s network, it’s often worth comparing against Verizon’s own offers — this page does that below.
Each card names the plan its offer needs and how the credit is paid, and each offer’s detail page has its full terms: what happens if you pay the phone off early, change plans or leave.
Is a Xfinity Mobile phone deal right for you?
Good deal if you
- Want Verizon’s network
- Will keep the line and the plan for the 36 months the credits run
- Have a phone to trade in — the offers that take one give the most
Skip it if you
- Might leave, pay the phone off or change plans early — the remaining credits stop
- Mostly want the lowest bill — Red Pocket Essentials, on the same network, is $988 less over three years for the iPhone Duo

Questions people ask
- Do I need Xfinity Internet to get these deals?
- Many Xfinity Mobile offers require it. The cards show the requirement where an offer has one.
- What network does Xfinity Mobile use?
- Verizon’s, through an agreement between the two companies, with Xfinity WiFi hotspots as well.
- Why is a smaller credit ranked above a bigger one?
- Because the ranking is on what you pay over three years, not on the size of the credit. A big credit that needs an expensive plan can cost more overall than a smaller one on a cheaper plan.
- What’s in the 3-year total?
- The plan for 36 months, the phone, activation and other fees, less every credit and whatever the old phone is worth — traded to the carrier, to the maker, or sold yourself, whichever the offer allows and costs least. Sales tax is not included.
Sales tax 9.15% — the rate charged at a retailer checkout in this ZIP. Your exact rate can differ.
Storage: the smallest it comes in.
Trade-in storage: the smallest it comes in. If yours has more, selling it yourself is worth more.
Plan prices assume you sign up for AutoPay where the carrier gives a discount for it; without it, those plans cost more each month.
